sonADA, Sonic Arts Days in Aberdeen, was established as a sonic art festival by sound artists Suk-Jun Kim and Francesco Sani in October 2014. After the success of their three-day pilot event held at Seventeen in October 2014 which was followed by a successful exchange programme with Papay Gyro Nights Festival in Orkney, sonADA has been re-formed in a format of not-for-profit organisation in February 2015 in order to create/host festivals and events on an even more ambitious scale.
