TAR Membership Programme: Open Call for Artists
(click for more information)
The Anatomy Rooms in Aberdeen city centre are inviting applications from artists to become part of a pilot membership programme.
The six successful applicants will enrol in a six-month programme which will focus on peer-to-peer sharing, inspiring content and bookable access to the production and development spaces at the Anatomy Rooms. Offering a supportive structure for artists to develop their practice in this artist-led space, which currently houses 20 studio residents and staff.
Included in the membership:
– Members will be able to book time in co-working spaces, including the in-house workshop and project space, as well as use the informal kitchen area and Wi-Fi throughout the building.
– The Anatomy Rooms run a programme of activity for existing studio residents, including group dinners, film screenings, group crits and open house events – as a member you will also be invited to participate and influence the direction of this programme as it develops.
– We are in the process of developing a small gallery space which will also be offered to members for the purpose of exhibition, or other activity, to assist in the development of your work.
– The Anatomy Rooms staff will also be available for support and practical advice. We have a range of in-house skills and, when required, can be available for group conversations as well as one-to-one meets.
The cost of this six-month membership is £270 payable in full or in monthly installments. Material costs remain the responsibility of the member.
Applications are welcome from artists working across all artforms, and at any stage in their practice. Please note, this opportunity is not available to anyone currently in full time education.
We invite you to note your interest in this opportunity by stating your current practice and how you think a membership space at The Anatomy Rooms might influence your work/development (max 500 words), and an up-to-date CV.
